Project Overview
Zetech University needed Moodle to work as part of its wider academic and finance environment rather than as a standalone LMS.
We built an integration layer connecting Moodle to the student management system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, timetable and workload systems, the results platform and the student portal.
What we built
The integration included a custom Moodle API layer, student and lecturer synchronization, finance-based access control, course enrolment automation, results synchronization and a custom theme.
Systems connected
Student Management System
Student records, registered units, profile changes, enrolment status and withdrawals are synchronized into Moodle.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Student access is linked to finance status, allowing Moodle access to respond automatically when fee clearance changes.
Timetable and Workload Management
Registered units and lecturer assignments are synchronized so Moodle enrolment follows the institution’s academic workload data.
Results Management System
Assessment structures and marks can move between Moodle and the results environment.
Student Portal
Student access and clearance information stays aligned across platforms.
Outcome
The integration reduced repeated manual entry between systems and gave students and staff a more consistent academic workflow.
